Secret Garden Editorial

Hello all, 

I really am going to try very hard now to keep this blog updated. So I have a few posts coming over the next few days, including some campaign shoots, test shoots and my amazing experience working with David Beckham and Adidas back in August but for now I share with you "Secret Garden". 

I shot this editorial back in July/August which featured a great team of people. I find my shoots these days float so naturally, they're fairly easy to organise as long as the concept is there and I really only work with great people who I know are on the same page as me in terms of style, ideas and concepts in order to create something that's on point. I genuinely cannot wait to meet more of you out there to work with and create even better work for testing, clients and more!

David Beckham..

Hello friends, 

I haven't blog posted for a while because I buried my head even further into my work but I wanted to let those of you who don't know that I won the Adidas #takethestage competition and got to take some pics of David Beckham as well as spend some time with him, have a chat, show him my work and just generally milk the amount of hugs and kisses I got from him. It was a brilliant day, the sun was shining and I had a film crew follow me for the day which for some reason didn't feel as alien as I thought it would! I would like to thank everyone who voted for me and all the support I received. Despite my shooting images for years and working freelance these past few years, I have never entered my work into a competition so this was a really nice change to my routine. It was a great experience and I'll remember it for the rest of my life!

Adidas Competition

So I saw this advertisement on the television about a month ago urging up and coming photographers to enter a competition to submit a photograph that showed heart. I remember going to the website to do it, but then questioned whether or not I had any images that I'd associate with a competitions like this. I closed the window and forgot all about it until I was reminded but a great photographer in my city called Tamsin who has also entered the competition so with the encouragement of a friend I did it.

On Sunday the top ten images with the most votes will be judged by Adidas and David Beckham and they will pick their favourite. The winner will then join David Beckham on set for a photoshoot, which is a pretty brilliant prize for everyone involved. 

I have submitted this portrait I made of Emily last year sometime on a windy Welsh beach one Sunday morning. If you like it, please click the link below and vote. You will need to confirm your vote via email but this literally only takes a minute.  So far I've had overwhelming support and appreciate everybody who has voted and pushed for votes so far. This is actually the first photo competition in my seven years shooting that I have ever entered so it'd be great to be in the top ten.

Tasha @ M&P

So M and P model Tasha came along to see us in the studio recently so an excited Ami Streets worked her magic as per to creative this great beauty looks below.

I can't even truly explain how much I enjoy working with models with unusual and distinctive features. I personally believe it takes beauty images that step further and transforms them into something very intriguing and so much more interesting.  I want to continue down this road to produce even more stylised work which I hope really captivates viewers. My beauty blitz shooting is still going strong with a week full of hair, beauty and fashion shoots ahead. Bank Holiday what? This makes me very happy!

Ethereal Ellie

Yet another a successful shoot with a great team, including Kevan Carr. I'd worked with Kevin a few years back to produce some images for a project so it was wonderful to get him on board. Fun with Faces

So whilst looking through all the work I've done so far in 2012, I realised that I have shot a crazy amount of beauty already. At the beginning of the year I decided that I wanted to shoot more beauty and fashion in the studio and it's been going great. Here are two images from a couple of shoots I did last week.

Isidora and Ella

I had two lovely young ladies in the studio last week just to shoot some very simple clean shots and here are a few. Lovely sweet ladies, both with very funny mothers - all in all - was a nice short shoot.
